“Jeez, I haven’t seen you this excited in a while,” says Max, changing the subject as Zieg’s eyes sparkle and a smile returns to her face.

Max looks left and right at all the speeding traffic directly in front of them, only now with a firm grip on Zieg’s hand.

“I can't wait to see Nari and Dal. It’s been years since we last met,” says Zieg, still slightly jittery while edging closer toward the kerb edge.

“No! No! That’s not the best part,” says Max excitedly. “This has gone up the chain of command in our company to my big boss, our company CEO, Mr Sawn,” he continues.

“And! Mr Swan called me into his office this afternoon to say he’d like to chat with you about your story,” adds Max.

“What! Your CEO. Why?” asks Zieg, shocked.

“Well!” says Max, shuffling closer to the table.

Short Story 03 Isle Of Colossus Raggoons Cradle

Excerpt :

“Wait? This is interesting!” says Max, sitting up straight in his chair and shaking a single sheet of paper.

“The Mariner’s Life Maritime Museum down on our south coast seems to be a wealth of information concerning all things shipping, sailors and more?” he adds.

“Really?” mutters Zieg, flicking through other notes on two more sheets of paper.

“Yeah!” adds Zieg. “It looks like we’ve both jotted it down in our notes,” she adds.
