“Ar! It’s good to be back in South Korea!” says Dal, stretching out his left arm and taking a deep breath while pulling his suitcase toward a taxi with his friends at Incheon International Airport.
Dal, Nari, Zieg, and Max are on a fully paid-for trip to visit Dal's parents whilst on a working week in Seoul, courtesy of Silence.
It's midday, so Dal and his friends head to their hotel to check in and freshen up before heading to Tingle's restaurant, one of Dal's family restaurants, where he knows his mum and dad will be.
“Appa!” shouts Dal as he, Nari, and the guys enter Tingles to find Dal’s dad working.
“Appa! Is Korean for dad!” whispers Zieg to Max as all four guys walk. “And In-Su is his Korean name,” she adds.
In-Su greets his son before leading him and his friends into the restaurant kitchen to greet Dal’s mother, Ha-Yun.
Dal officially introduces Max to his parents.
“Welcome! Pleased to meet you, Max,” says In-Su, shaking Max’s hand before his wife greets Max.
“Have you all eaten?” asks In-Su. “Come! Let’s all go into the restaurant and sit at a table,” he adds, gesturing toward the dining area.
Dal, Nari, and the guys follow In-Su, who heads for a quiet area while his wife heads for a quick chat with the restaurant’s front-of-house manager.
“Right! Guys. Let’s enjoy a meal while you tell us what you’ve been up to lately?” says In-Su, offering the table menus around as his wife joins them.
“Please! Everyone eat and enjoy!” says Ha-Yun, gently tapping Nari and Zieg’s hands as the food choices soon arrive at their table.
“It’s so nice to see you guys again. Appa, Eomma!” says Zieg, looking at Dal’s parents. “It’s been far too long. And time flies when you’re having fun!” she adds.
“Yes! We know Zieg. I used to love the days we saw you and your family often!” replies Ha-Yun. “And In-Su and I used to love having the kind of adventures you guys have in your lives?” she adds as everyone starts their meal.
“Wait!” says Max, stopping. “Are you guys part of Si!…” he adds.
“Yes, Max!” replies In-Su quietly. “Only these days, we’re sleeper agents operating here in Seoul!” he adds, leaning forward to wink at Max.
“Wow!” mutters Max as Dal chuckles.
“Are you sure you won't stay at our house for your holiday?” asks Ha-Yun, hoping the guys will.
“Well, this trip won't be all holiday!” replies Dal.
“We’re meeting Ji-Min and a few of his team tomorrow. That’s why we booked into a hotel. We also have a couple of tasks to achieve on this trip!” adds Nari, gently taking hold of Ha-Yun’s hand.
“My! My!” says Ha-Yun, grasping Nari’s hand tightly. “Look at you two. You're all grown up now!” she adds, looking between Dal and Nari.
“And you too! Zieg, Max. All four of you look, act, and sound so mature!” continues Ha-Yun quickly as she admires all four guys.
“We’re not always like this!” says Max before chuckling.
“Well! Max isn't anyway!” adds Zieg before tapping Max’s shoulder.
“Oh! We can see who the joker is in this group!” says Ha-Yun, making her husband laugh.
“Yes! Dal has told us often that Max is a comedian!” adds In-Su through his laughter.
“OH! He has, has he?” says Max, putting his knife and fork down quickly before placing his hands on his hips and looking at Dal, resulting in the whole group bursting into laughter.
