“You’ve had your motorbike for a while now?” says Dal, looking at Zieg as all four guys chat in Nari and Dal’s apartment.
“Yeah, eight weeks this week,” answers Zieg as Max smiles at her.
“She’s a natural,” says Max. “But she rides too fast at times,”
“Boys! Women are just as daring as men! If not more so,” adds Nari, nodding at her boyfriend.
“Okay! Nari! I know you had your motorbike before me,” says Dal, knowing that’ a dig at him as he tickles Nari’s feet on his lap.
“Is your sister still a member of that bike gang?” asks Zieg, looking at Nari as she giggles and quickly moves her feet away from Dal.
“Ari, yeah. The Ghost Riders. She loves those guys. That’s where she met her boyfriend, Duri,” replies Nari, calm again.
“Ha! That’s cool. Ari and Duri,” chuckles Max.
“Yeah, most people are amused by their names,” says Nari, smiling at Max.
“Duri’s also a good martial arts fighter, a top bike mechanic, and a pretty good singer,” adds Nari, smiling at Max.
“Really? I like him already. He sounds like a great guy to me,” says Max gingerly, making everyone laugh.
“You guys should meet Ari and Duri. I’m always telling Ari about you and Max,” says Nari, nodding gently at Zieg.
“We’d love to, wouldn’t we, Max? I can’t remember the last time I saw Ari, and now I’m curious to meet Duri?” says Zieg, smiling at Max.
“Yeah! We’d like that,” adds Max.
“I’ll arrange it,” says Nari, as Dal nods in agreement.
“When’s Steve flying in?” asks Dal, changing the subject.
“Tomorrow morning at ten o’clock,” replies Zieg. “He’ll be on his own, no Joan for this trip,”
“I could pick him up on my bike,” says Dal.
“And Max could come with me riding your bike, Nari. We’ll get to the airport in no time,” he adds.
“Steve would love that,” says Zieg.
“Okay. I’ll phone my insurance company and add Max as a named rider on my policy. I think it should be okay,” agrees Nari.
“Cool. That’ll be fun,” says Max before the four guys continue chatting.
Monday, mid-morning, Zieg and Nari are waiting for Dal, Max, and Steve on the low wall surrounding the car park to Nari and Dal’s apartment block when they hear the roar of powerful motorbikes before seeing Dal, with Steve riding pillion, and Max speed into the car park and stop quickly in front of them.
The three men dismount their machines and start taking off their helmets.
“Morning, ladies!” says Steve, running his left hand through his hair while holding his borrowed bike helmet in the other.
Dal and Max join Zieg and Nari before placing their bike helmets on the low wall.
“Looks like you’ve been having fun!” says Nari, looking at three smiling men as they high-five each other.
“Yeah! That was fun,” says Steve. “And the quickest I’ve ever travelled through the Seoul traffic,” he smiles.
“We dropped into Steve’s hotel first so he could book in and drop off his suitcase,” says Dal. “That’s why it took us a little longer to get here,” he adds.
“Oh! So you took your time?” smiles Zieg at the three rouges.
“I just hope you didn’t get caught by any speed cameras?” adds Nari.
