“Zig and the guys are heading home tomorrow morning for the weekend. I’ll talk with them about this and ask Dal to delete his video from his phone,” says Steve, as his mind mulls over the motorbike incident again.
Ray sends the video to his phone via Wi-Fi before laying Dal’s mobile on the breakfast bar.
“I’ll speak to you about this in a few days!” says Ray, holding his phone up toward Steve.
“Yeah. Speak soon,” replies Steve. “Stay safe,” he adds as Ray heads for the front door.
The two guys part company before Steve locks up and heads upstairs to bed.
In the morning, Steve gathers Zig and the guys around his breakfast bar for a hearty breakfast before they head home.
“Guys! We need to talk before you leave,” says Steve after everyone has finished their food.
“Dal’s video!” says Max.
“Yeah!” replies Steve softly. “Zig, guys. I don’t think there’s any problem, but I’d prefer it if you didn’t mention being at the scene of that bike accident to any of your friends. Just keep that event between us and Ray,” he adds.
“And Dal, it would be best to delete that video from your phone,” continues Steve, looking directly at him. “It doesn’t show much anyway?”
“Yeah, no problem. I was going to do that today anyway,” replies Dal.
Although all the guys are curious about Steve’s request, they all trust him, even Nari and Dal, who haven’t known him for long.
A while later, Zig and her friends are picked up by Ray to start their journey home for the weekend.
“Morning!” says Zig, entering Steve’s office Monday morning, at nine o’clock on the dot with Max, Nari, and Dal following a phone conversation on Sunday morning.
“I’m sorry to ask you guys to meet me this morning, especially you, Nari, and Dal. I know you have a flight to catch later today!” says Steve.
“It’s okay! We were coming to work anyway,” chuckles Max, trying to lighten the mood.
“Ha!” replies Steve, with a half smile.
“No! I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to speak with me on Friday. That time helped us bond and get to know each other better,” says Steve, looking around his group.
“And I especially want to thank Nari and Dal for joining our company and allowing me to join your friendship group. Thank you, Nari, Dal, and you two guys as well!” chuckles Steve, nodding toward Zig and Max while pulling a face.
At that moment, Steve’s office door opens as Judy and one of her secretaries enter, holding large bouquets which they present to Zig and Nari, along with an expensive bottle of wine each for Max and Dal.
“Have a safe flight home, Nari, Dal. I look forward to working with you on our project and meeting you again as we move forward together,” adds Steve.
Steve, Zig, Max, and the guys hug and bid farewell to each other for now.
“Zig! You and Max take the day off and go to the airport with Nari and Dal to see them off. Ray will be your driver for the day, and he’ll drive you home afterwards,” says Steve.
“Right! I have an important meeting to attend right now. Bye, guys. Stay safe,” adds Steve, giving Nari and Dal a last handshake before Zig and Max.
“Let’s go, Judy,” says Steve, turning and heading for his office door with her by his side.
“Rays waiting downstairs for you, Zig, guys,” says Kim, Judy’s secretary.
Zig, Max, Nari and Dal thank Kim before following her out of Steve’s office and waving goodbye to Steve and Judy as they enter an elevator.
“Hi, Ray,” says Steve, several days later, answering his mobile.
“Have you any news that we need to meet up and chat about?” he adds.
“Yes, mate, I do, I’ll meet you at yours tonight, at eight o’clock, if that’s okay with you,” replies Ray. “You’re going to like this?”
“Sounds interesting?” says Steve. “Yeah! Eight is good for me. See you then. Bye,” he adds before hanging up.
“Come in!” says Steve, answering his door to Ray at five minutes past eight o’clock.
Steve grabs two cold beers from his fridge before joining Ray at his breakfast bar.
“I’ll get straight to the point,” says Ray, laying his laptop on the breakfast bar.
“Here?” says Steve, pulling the ring on a beer can and handing it to Ray as he stops Dal’s video at the exact moment of interest.
“Just there! You’ll have to look closely, but you’ll see it?” adds Ray before sipping his beer.
“JEEZ! Major Lee has worked his magic again. That’s a handgun?” says Steve, edging closer to the laptop while sipping his beer.
“Handgun with a silencer! And that’s a female biker? A female assassin, to be exact!” explains Ray.
“This was a two-shot assassination. The first shot was in the back of the first motorbike rider, causing him to crash. The second shot was in the heart to kill that rider,” continues Ray.
“This hit was completed by a black leather-clad female assassin on an all-black motorbike. Ring any bells?” asks Ray, sitting back and taking another sip of beer.
“A Bounty Assassin?” mutters Steve. “Yeah! Master Tae and Lauretta are at work again?” he adds.
“Only the members of Silence are saying this was NOT Lauretta’s Bounty. They think this was the work of her daughter, Ji-Yoon. So, this was Ji-Yoon’s Bounty. She gets the big money for this hit.
That’s if all this intel is correct!” explains Ray.
“But this doesn’t make sense? Why would Master Tae do a simple hit like this on foreign soil?” replies Steve. “And using Ji-Yoon as his assassin as well?” he adds.
