Excerpt from Book 08
Zig Zaleia and the Seven Moons River

Created by Maximo

“Okay!” says Emilia, after a short walk, before stopping in front of six pairs of double doors, each having white frosted glass centres, and stretching across the width of the walkways.

“Prepare to be amazed. Follow me!” adds Emilia, before pushing open a set of double doors and walking into the large, open communal area, which is the start of a very special room, cascading out into a mix of concrete, steel, and natural forestry, provided by Mother Nature.

“Oh, Wow!” mutters Zig before everyone else mumbles their astonishment at the view before them.

“Welcome to our Quiet Room!” continues Emilia with her arms open wide, gesturing to the sight in front of her.

The immediate area of the room is quietly busy, housing many individual people and small groups quietly chatting, reading books, using tablets, writing, and a few groups using computer stations laid out in designated areas.

“Further into this room is a digital library and a designated communication area!” says Dimitri, gesturing into the distance.

Monika leads the group forward as Steve and his entire team’s heads spin, trying to take in the steel and concrete architecture, the colourful plants and lush greenery of grasses and trees, both large and small, along with coloured flowers inside and outside the room.

“This room is on the ground level and is part of both the natural forest region at the rear of the Marrinoff Hotel and above the Marrinoff Igon!” explains Dimitri as the group stops further inside the room to look around.

“This evening’s visit is only a quick showcase of this room. Tomorrow morning, we will all come back, and Monika and I will give you a more detailed tour of this amazing room before we inform you of a critical project!” says Dimitri, grinning at Zig and the group.

“Fascinating!” comments Nazz, still looking around the room.

“I look forward to your communication concerning your critical project!” adds Albertina as everyone else nods gently.

“Right!” says Gabriel sharply. “Let’s all return to the Marrinoff Hotel for a good night’s sleep, and Monika and I will answer any questions you have as we walk,” continues Dimitri, holding his left arm out towards the exit.

“I don’t think I’ll be getting a good night’s sleep!” says Max. “Because my brain is focused on this Quiet Room right now!” he adds as Zig and the guys agree.

The following morning, after eating their choice of breakfast from the large selection of options in the hotel’s breakfast bar, Steve, Zig, and the rest of the guys are back in the Quiet Room with Gabriel and Monika.

“Gabriel! I notice there are many different varieties of colourful flowers, plants and shrubbery, dotted around both within your Quiet Room and its outer perimeter skirting the local forestry!” says Albertina, standing on the right-hand side of the room and gazing into the forest through one of the large, overhead, open, and lockable roller shutters.

“Correct!” replies Gabriel. “These superb, colourful and fragrant additions are courtesy of our Silence team of gardeners and horticulturists who cultivate the wonderful sights and smells we all enjoy while visiting our Quiet Room!” continues Gabriel, bending forward to smell a group of flowers in an array of chest-height mini gardens.

“I think the views, colours and fragrances of this room are the main reason many people choose to visit here to relax, refresh and replenish their minds to get a clearer thought pattern concerning the work they’re involved with!” explains Monika.

“I know I certainly do!” she adds.

“In the past, I have visited here often and always leave with clear thoughts and even solutions to challenging problems I’ve been having while working on several important projects!” continues Monika.

“I can understand that!” agrees Steve, breathing in deeply through his nose. “The ambience and scent of this room are both exhilarating and liberating!” he adds.

“Yeah!” agrees Zig. “I feel the ambience and peace in this room could help invoke an open state of mind, enabling a person to tap into areas of their mind not usually used in their normal hectic days, which usually blind people into individual normality!”

“I agree!” says Nari. “Peace and tranquillity invoke creativity!”

“Hence the name, Quiet Room!” adds Monika, smiling at her two creative friends.

“Exactly!” says Gabriel. “Now! Let’s sit over there in that small, circular arena, because Monika and I want to have a chat with you,” he adds, making a move towards the seats.

Everyone settles down in the round arena as Gabriel stands before them.

“Now! Before I start, I’d like to inform all you humans that what I’m about to tell you is already known by our four ZandaBots, who started working very closely with us on this next step of the ZandaBot Evolution a while ago!” says Gabriel, scanning his friends.

“ZandaBot Evolution!” mumbles Zig, turning to look at Max.

“Yes!” replies Monika, looking between Zig and Albertina.

“The concept we’ve been working on was born in this very Quiet Room by Albertina, Nuno, Nero and Nazz, along with Mr Gamora, John Mendal, Zen, Sara and several other Silence Higher members and engineers!” adds Gabriel.

“Wait! You’ve been here before?” asks Zig, looking at Albertina.

“Yes!” replies Albertina, walking to sit next to Zig before holding her hand. “This isn’t our first meeting with Dimitri and Emilia!”

“We four ZandaBots, along with some of your brilliant Silence engineers, will be attempting to surpass humanity’s current technologies!” continues Albertina.

“We’re going to explore and address a host of current human impossibilities by working to make them possible?” she adds.

“These human impossibilities could affect the current state of your human race, but we think we can change them to possible advancements which have been highlighted and influenced by your journeys and findings from the Isle of Colossus?” explains Albertina, gently squeezing Zig’s hand while looking her in the eye.
