“Nari, you know you mentioned earlier that you hadn’t seen Joan for a while!” says Zieg after finishing her phone conversation with Steve.
“Yeah! It’s been some time since either of us have spoken to her in person,” replies Nari, looking at Dal and chatting with Zieg and Max.
“Well, none of us four will be working at Chuckle Tech tomorrow because Steve is coming to pick us up from here tomorrow afternoon for a trip to visit Joan at her museum,” adds Zieg as the boys look at her.
“Nice! I like Joan’s museum,” says Max. “And Joan is a wealth of knowledge concerning the Isle of Colossus,”
“Yeah, I like Joan too because she’s kind of cool and unique in her own sweet way!” says Dal. “And I like how she gets excited when discovering new events or information concerning that island,” he continues.
“Yeah!” agrees Zieg. “I never get bored talking to Joan. She’s a very interesting and passionate person,”
“I like how she mothers us when we’re all together. She’s always looking out for us and protective of us. Yeah, she’s incredible when you think about it!” adds Nari.
“Hi, Max!” says Steve Friday afternoon as Max opens his apartment door.
“You guys ready?” asks Steve, rubbing his hands together.
“We’re ready,” says Zieg from behind Max before he can speak.
Zieg, Nari and Dal walk past Max into their apartment block corridor before Zieg turns to look at Max.
“Come on, Maxie Boy!” says Zieg. “Lock the door; we’ve got everything we need,” she adds before greeting Steve.
“Yes! Right! I’m coming,” says Max, quickly putting on his sneakers before locking their front door and hurrying to catch up with the guys.
Several hours later, Steve indicates and turns his large company car into the Mariners Life Maritime Museum car park.
“Here they are! Hi guys,” shouts Joan, standing and talking with her work friend in the Mariner's Life reception.
“Hi Joan,” says Zieg before Steve and the guys greet Joan.
“Let’s all go to my office,” says Joan excitedly.
Everyone gets comfortable in Joan’s office for their mysteriously arranged meeting.
“Right, Joan!” says Steve. “I know you’re still curious concerning this meeting,“ he adds.
“Yeah! You were pretty vague over the phone. But! You reassured me by saying I’ll love what you have to say. So! Let“s hear it?” replies Joan.
Zieg and the guys look at each other, unsure what Steve has to say.
“Okay, Joan. Well! Silence has asked me to ask you, in person, if you would like to head a small team and live on the Isle of Colossus for six months. Silence would like you and your team to map out the island as you search for caves, waterfalls, and the other two palaces if they exist. Along with anything else you can find worth noting and reporting,” says Steve, to a quiet room and a stunned-looking Joan.
“Jeez!” says Zieg.
“Brilliant!” adds Nari.
Joan sits, looking at Steve.
Until! …
“ER! Yes! I’d love the opportunity to research that island,” says Joan with a smile.
“The goal of this operation is to learn more about the sarcophagus we found in the Bedouin Sky Palace and see if there are any more to be found?” says Steve.
